Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7/27/2026

This page is maintained by Yaze to answer common privacy questions about the Yaze app. It is written for parents, teachers, and school administrators.

Who this covers

Yaze accounts are created and controlled by parents or legal guardians. Children play under a parent's account through a "child profile" that has no login, no messaging, no ads, and no third-party trackers.

What we collect

  • Parent account: email, hashed password, optional name.
  • Child profile (created by the parent): a first name or nickname, an avatar digit, and an age band (3–4, 5–6, 7–8). No last names, no birthdays, no photos.
  • Learning progress: which levels were played, stars earned, accuracy, streak days, and which Yazies were unlocked.
  • Technical: anonymized device type and language for bug-fixing and translation. No advertising IDs.

What we do NOT collect from children

  • No geolocation, no photos, no voice recordings.
  • No third-party ad tracking, no analytics SDKs that profile children.
  • No social features that let strangers contact your child.

How we use it

Progress data personalizes difficulty and shows insights in the Parent Zone. Aggregate, de-identified counts help us improve the curriculum. That's it.

Data export & deletion

You can export or delete your family's data anytime from Parent Zone → Privacy. Deletion removes parent account, all child profiles, and all learning history within 30 days. Backups are purged within 90 days.

Subprocessors

  • Cloud hosting and database — Lovable Cloud (Supabase).
  • Payments — Stripe, Inc.
  • Voice audio — ElevenLabs Inc. (text-only prompts sent; no child data).
